In 2005, I discovered my passion for digital art and began learning the program of Adobe Photoshop; since then I have furthered my knowledge in the entire Adobe creative suite and other programs including Final Cut Pro and 3DS Max. After I graduated from High School in 2007, I decided to take a year off to sharpen my skills and explore the different areas of design. In April of two thousand and ten, I successfully became a SAIT graduate of the New Media Production and Design program. As my Practicum placement, I obtained a wonderful job within the Corporate Communications department at SAIT as the creative assistant. My primary role was to assist with the Digital Signage network, creating dynamic content to be displayed across the SAIT campus on SAITVIEW. I also assisted with other projects including photography, cinematography/editing and helping with multiple web projects. After I completed my practicum within the department, I was happy to have extended my stay throughout my second year. I am very grateful to have joined such an amazing team who taught me a great deal about the professional side of the new media industry.
Since then, I have obtained a job as a graphic designer at Canadian Discovery Ltd. I also focus on learning more about and taking on tasks of Digital Signage (currently working for VisualCrafts), Photography and other creative projects.
I also have knowledge in Web Development carrying the skills to build fully functional and dynamic websites. I understand HTML, CSS and PHP, as well as JavaScript and Flash. I have obtained two adobe certifications in Rich Media Communications and Visual Communications.
